Music Hall

There isn’t actually a venue called “Music Hall” in Thessaloniki. However, the city boasts a magnificent performing arts center: The Thessaloniki Concert Hall. This modern complex features two striking buildings by the sea. The M1 Hall boasts a grand auditorium seating 1400, perfect for orchestral performances. M2, designed by renowned architect Arata Isozaki, offers a more contemporary feel with several smaller performance spaces ideal for chamber music, recitals, and even theatrical productions. Thessaloniki Concert Hall is a cultural hub, hosting a wide range of events throughout the year.

Little Palace (Palataki)

The Little Palace, also known as the Government House (Kyverneio), isn’t actually a palace open to the public. This grand neoclassical mansion resides in Kalamaria, about 8 kilometers south of Thessaloniki’s center. Sitting on 15 sprawling acres overlooking the Thermaic Gulf, it boasts a main gate, a chapel, a helipad, and even dock access. Once a royal residence, it’s now a government building used for official functions. While you can’t explore the interior, admire its elegant architecture from afar and enjoy the coastal panorama it offers

Towering over Thessaloniki’s vibrant Nea Paralia coastline, the Alexander the Great Statue is a bronze masterpiece. Sculpted by Evangelos Moustakas, this equestrian monument depicts the legendary Macedonian king, Alexander III, astride his loyal steed, Bucephalus. Unveiled in 1974, it’s the tallest of its kind in Greece, reaching a commanding height of nearly 6.15 meters.
